You can create the illusion of a stained glass window using paper and punch art.
For the frame, apply strips of paper in a way that generates the perception of the lead in a stained glass window. You can do this using any color background. Silver would work nicely too. You can study any stained glass window pattern and recreate it magnificently out of paper.
To make the punch art blend in and give it that same illusion of being etched in lead, punch a black piece at the same time as your other colors. Then mount your black piece behind and above the colored piece. This technique will allow you to put any design or pattern onto a stained glass window page.
I do ask that you give credit to Tapestry in Time if you teach or share this effect with others in the scrapbooking community. As this page and all others on the Tapestry in Time site are copyrighted. Thank you and enjoy creating stained glass pages in your scrapbooks!
