The following Butterfly punched punches are an
example of what I used to design the page:
Small: 3 Orange, 2 Yellow, 2 Lime Green, 1 Royal Blue, 2 Red
= 10 Small
Large: 1 Yellow, 1 Lime Green, 1 Royal Blue = 3 Large
Total: 13 Butterflies1.)
Take your 8 1/2 x 11 white cardstock and draw a wavy line with the wavy border ruler down
the right (or the left) side of your page. - Approximately 3/4 inch from edge.
2.) Draw little squiggles off the edges of the drawn wave here and
there along each side.
3.) Draw little tiny leaves here and there along each side of the
wave.
4.) Take your Yellow brush tip marker and place one dot on each
side of the inside curves of the border. (I came out with a count of 12 yellow dots along
my border, top to bottom.)
5.) Take your Lavender brush tip marker and place five dots around
each of the yellow dots to create a flower. (No need to go up against the yellow, it is
okay to leave space between. It is your choice.)
6.) Mount your 8 1/2 x 11 page on top of the 12 x 12 Cobalt Blue
cardstock approximately a 1/4" to a 1/2" from the left or right edge of the
Cobalt Blue page. Note: if you placed your border on the left side mount the page on
the left side of the Cobalt Blue cardstock. And likewise, if you have the border design on
the right side, mount your 8 1/2 x 11 on the right side of the Cobalt Blue cardstock.
(Your white cardstock should now be centered top to bottom and offset left or right, which
ever side you designed your border.)
7.) Butterfly placement, take 2 large and 7 small-assorted colors
of butterflies and place them along both sides of your borderline tilting them in
different directions. Once you have them where you want them, glue them in place.
The remaining 4 butterflies are to be used on the cobalt Blue side of the page.
Placing one small butterfly in the upper corner and 1 large and 1 small in the bottom
corner. And then place the extra butterfly remaining somewhere by your picture or
journaling.
8.) Take you Black fine tip marker and draw tiny dashed lines
forming little loops behind the butterfly to show the trail the butterfly has flown.
There is no right or wrong here. It is how you see the butterfly flying about on
your page. I made my butterflies look as though they were flying onto my page from
the edge of the paper. So each butterfly has a dashed looping trail from
1/2" up to 3" long depending on the placement of the butterfly. The extra
butterfly I placed by the picture and had the trail look like it came from behind the
picture.
9.) Your page is now ready for pictures and journaling.

design. I know I have enjoyed designing it and sharing it with all of you!
